Deletion of spouse name in Indian passport after death or divorce : Deletion of spouse name from passport can be done by submitting the Divorce certificate in case of Divorce .In the event of death of spouse , you can submit the death certificate and apply for Re-issue of Passport.
For some reason if you want to remove the name of spouse name from your passport, you can produce an declaration about the reason for removal of spouse name from the passport. However, removal of spouse name from passport can be done majorly in case of divorce or in the event of death of spouse.

If there is no change in name after marriage and also old passport has maiden name, then after divorce if the old passport needs to be renewed due to 10 years expiry period, does applicant need to submit divorce certificate?
Can the applicant select option as Single, as her status is single now and there is no change in name?
